Is Semen Good for Your Skin?
Have you ever thought about doing a semen face mask or a spermine facial? At one point in time, semen was thought to be a natural and nutrient rich facial treatment, and some people still believe it has acne fighting and anti-aging properties. However, the science behind whether or not sperm protein is good for skin shows us that the quantity of vitamins and minerals that could make cum good for skin are not in high enough concentrations to make much of a difference.
Does Semen Clear Acne?
One of the claims about semen and skincare is that there are anti inflammatory in spermine, a compound found in semen and other human cells. While applying an anti-inflammatory can help reduce acne, there is no current evidence that points to spermine being an efficient or useful compound to clear up acne ridden skin. If you’re suffering from acne, it is better to consult a dermatologist or use products proven to work in fighting acne like salicylic acid or tea tree oil.
Anti Aging Sperm Benefit for Skin
Another claim about semen being a helpful tool in your skincare routine is that semen can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Again, this claim is based on the idea that the anti-inflammatory properties of semen will reduce wrinkles because of the same component: spermine. There have been studies that show a correlation between injecting spermine into cells and slowing of the aging process. While this concept might be a bit more scientifically proven than the claim about acne, there is still little evidence that spermine is a good topical treatment. A better topical treatment to combat aging would be retinol, vitamin E, vitamin C and a religious application of sunscreen to the face.
Is Cum Good for Your Hair?
Semen hair masks are also something that have popped up as possible natural remedies for dry hair. While the protein and nutrients in semen may be good for conditioning your hair, it is likely that you won’t be able to get enough semen over a long period of time to really make this trick worthwhile. There is again little evidence that semen works wonders on dry hair or dead ends, so you will probably be better off using coconut oil or a store bought hair mask with a blend of vitamins and minerals that are proven to be effective.
What Does Cum Do for Your Skin?
So if you’re still wondering what could actually happen from rubbing cum on face, or wondering if despite the lack of evidence it might still be worth a try, consider these two things before going forward.
Firstly, rubbing semen onto your face could result in an allergic reaction. Although not very common, some people can have allergic reactions to semen, even severe reactions resulting in anaphylaxis. If you know you are allergic to semen, I’m sure you will steer clear of trying out any semen facial routines or hair masks.
Secondly, spreading semen on one’s face can actually aid in spreading STIs. If your partner has an STI and you rub their ejaculate into your face, it can permeate mucus membranes and infect you. This is a way to catch herpes, HIV, syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea. If your partner hasn’t gotten an STI test recently, it is probably best to avoid any semen facials until they do.
In summation, if you like rubbing semen on your face for reasons other than skin care, all power to you. But if someone claims that by getting a semen facial your skin will be healthy, glowing and ageless, don’t take them seriously. The myth has been debunked. If you want to enjoy a semen facial for sexual reasons, make sure that you are not allergic to semen and that your partner has gotten an STI test since recently, and you’re good to go.
